Simply Walking

Exercise has become part of millions of American lives. People are becoming more concerned about their health and wellness.

Everyone either heads to the gym or is signing up for the latest Zumba class. We can easily forget how important the little things matter the most. Before paying the gym fee, stop and think about what we do every day.

To get anywhere, we need to walk everywhere.

Walking is the simplest, yet most effective form of exercise. It is the easiest way to get the exercise you need to stay healthy. You should typically walk every day for 30 minutes, especially after meals. Every step counts!

Not only can you burn more calories, walking is a non-exercise activity that can be enjoyed either alone or socializing with friends and family. Walking also encourages people to spend more time outside and consume less.

Since I started living on-campus, I realize that I won’t go out running every day. Walking has become part of my daily routine. I tend to avoid public transportation whenever I can.

I don’t have time today. I’ll do that tomorrow.

Our busy schedules are usually the excuse that people use to avoid exercising. We need to make a daily effort to walk more. Our actions today can greatly impact what happens tomorrow.
